The Little Horse(11)
May07 Contest

Day by day it went
for the little horse.
The lump of love she felt
Slowly it melted.

For the smiley lad
had had a lass.
Through all smile and sad;
Through all cry and laugh.

The little horse
Mentally, grows by day.
Physically, grows by night.
Truthfully, grows out
    of the smiley lad.

The little horse
thought about her darling lad;
thought about his darling lass;
the lump of love she felt had melted.

Again
she galloped around the field
together with all the others.
Not to be the better.
Not to attract attention.
All just to fit in;
She tried to fit in.

She had forgotten
    about the smiley lad.
She had forgotten
    about the pretty lass.
She hadn't forgotten
    how she fell for the lad.
She hadn't forgotten
    her love for the lad.

The little horse continued
    to gallop around the field.
